October 8, 2007 – ECOtality Issues Technical Report on Hydrality
On Friday, October 5, 2007, ECOtality’s science team attended the COMSOL Multiphysics Conference 2007 in Boston, Massachusetts. At the marquee session entitled NASA Tech Briefs Multiphysics Session, our team presented a technical report about the Hydrality project. Written by Tyler Williams of GreenMountain Engineering, this report, Reaction and Thermal Modeling of a Packed Bed Reactor for Hydrogen Storage, provided an in-depth modeling of the thermal performance and reaction rates of Hydrality. The white paper report validates the core Hydrality reaction and concludes: (1) Hydrality is safe and has internal self-stabilizing controls that prevent runaway reactions; (2) the Hydrality reaction is extremely efficient, operating near thermodynamic optimums, and does not waste significant water or energy in its processes; (3) the Hydrality reaction has an independently sufficient endothermic process that requires no extra heat supply. July 17, 2007 – ECOtality, Inc. Teams with Arizona State University on Magnesium Regeneration Solutions
ECOtality, Inc. (OTC BB: ETLY), announces an agreement with Arizona State University (ASU) to further develop regeneration solutions for magnesium oxide. Magnesium oxide is the main byproduct of Hydratus™. Beginning June 1, 2007 until mid 2008, ASU will evaluate the potential technologies to determine cost and energy efficiencies for converting magnesium oxide back to its original form – magnesium – where it will serve as a true carrier of energy for on-demand hydrogen generation. The Low Cost of Responsible Energy
One more thing: besides the obvious environmental benefits, hydrogen produced by Hydrality has the ability to be competitive and cost efficient compared to fossil fuels. Hydrality has the potential to change the world, making a lot of people much happier. Well, except for the big oil companies.
